I thought albinos had red eyes? Is that not the case in humans?

Nope! Red eyes in albino people is only in anime and myth. In general, albino people tend to have very pale blue eyes, or violet/purple eyes— caused by the red of their blood being slightly visible through the pale blue of their irises. c:

But yeah, a lot of albino folks have terribly sensitive eyes and a lot of other eye problems that leave them, more often than not, mostly blind, or with very terrible eyesight.
